This Sunday at St Nicholas’ will be the Harvest Festival
Family service. It will be a lovely service celebrating this time of year –
taken by our new vicar, Rev. Richard Phillips. After the service there is a
“bring and share” brunch outside (weather looks fairly good for the
weekend!).
If any
of you coming are able to bring something for the brunch table that would be
most appreciated – savoury or sweet dishes are all welcome! It is usually a
lovely spread.
Also,
at this service we are asking for any donations of dry or canned foods for the
charity “Steppin’ Stones” in Oxford - http://www.theporch.org.uk/
. The charity provides support for the homeless and vulnerable. Any donations
you can bring will be most appreciated and help to give someone a warm, healthy
meal who might otherwise go without.
