Prayer: God of glory, the end of our searching, help us to lay
aside all that prevents us from seeking your kingdom, and to give all that we

O GOD, who declarest thy almighty power
most chiefly in shewing mercy and pity: Mercifully grant unto us such a measure
of thy grace, that we, running the way of thy commandments, may obtain thy
gracious promises, and be made partakers of thy heavenly treasure; through
Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Holy Communion service in Chearsley this week. He has kindly
sent us the following brief biography:
'Married to Vicky for 46 years, we have 2
children, 3 grandchildren and 3 'granddogs.' Ordained in 1969,
I have worked mostly in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, my last full time post
as a Diocesan Officer based in St Albans. I was privileged to
be made an Honorary Canon of St Albans Cathedral in
1994. Vicky and I moved to Princes Risborough 5 years ago to
be near our daughter and her family.'
