Please come and join us for a pancake, on Tuesday 28th February from 5-6pm, in St NIcholas church.  

No charge, but any donations received will be sent to the Children's Society.

United Benefice Service- 29th Jan

BENEFICE BCP SERVICE

As this Sunday is the 5th Sunday in the month, we have our United Benefice Service, which will be at Nether Winchendon church at 10am, led by Rev Richard Phillips.

The service will be taken from the 350 year-old Book of Common Prayer, and includes hymns and an anthem sung by our Benefice Choir.

Children have the opportunity to enjoy age-appropriate activity sheets towards the back of church during the Sermon and Intercessions.

Rock Solid Cup Cake Sale

On Saturday, Rock Solid, the church Youth Group, baked cup cakes and sold them in aid of Animal Aid Unlimited who treat sick and injured animals off the streets of India.

Your love and respect for animals is so beautiful, I feel better about the whole world knowing you kids are in it, and you are the leaders who will save so many animals in your lives. All animals want to live, none want to be chained or used as food or fashion, none want to be hunted or hurt in any way, and you are young but you already know all of that. You are beautiful and blessed, and I am honored to know you.

When you grow up I hope I will be able to welcome you into the gates of Animal Aid Unlimited and maybe I can introduce you to some of the animals you've just helped save.

Cup Cake Sale - Sat 7th January

The Rock Solid Youth Group would like to raise money to help injured animals who live on the streets of India.  A wonderful charity, called Animal Aid Unlimited, help dogs, cows, donkeys and all sorts of other animals.  There are some amazing clips on YouTube of their work including this one of a donkey rescued from a tiny hole under a building.  Billy would be proud!

On Saturday 7th January Rock Solid will be making cup cakes which will be sold for 50p each and all the proceeds will go to this charity.  If anyone would like to buy a cake, please contact Rock Solid through Sharon at Cloverdale on 208740 .

Morning Celebration - 8th Jan 2017

This month in Morning Celebration, we will be thinking about our New Year's Resolutions, but also about how God loves us just the way we are.

We will also make sure the Wise Men make it to Bethlehem as it is Epiphany Sunday.

As usual, we will have refreshments before and after the service, which will be informal and modern and suitable for all ages.
