Welcome to St. Nicholas’ Church Chearsley

At the end of a winding lane in our picturesque village stands our ancient Parish Church with the Chiltern Hills as a backdrop. For more than 800 years, it has been a place set apart for the worship of God and a focus for community life. Down the centuries, it has been and continues to be a place where all are welcome to share in its varied activities, to come and celebrate times of happiness and joy and to find support in times of sadness and suffering. We seek to be a church in the community, for the community. And so we look to provide something for everyone. There are both traditional and informal services; services that are designed for children and more meditative type services. We hope that you will find not only a warm welcome at St. Nicholas’ but feel valued and loved and want to take a part in the life of the church.
